This home is located 5 miles northeast of downtown about halfway between the city and the airport and is a popular and quiet retreat after a busy day in the city. The home is a 2 storey modern townhouse with a peaceful garden setting on a private gated streeet. The hostess offers guests a queen size double room with a small balcony on the second floor (no elevator) which has an ensuite bathroom with a shower and tub and a separate toilet. Continental breakfast is served either in the large kitchen area or in the rear garden, the only area where smoking is permitted and where you may meet any of the 3 cats or two lively Labrador dogs. There is also access to a swimming pool. This is a tranquil neighborhood with lots of nearby parks and a church activities. There are a couple of local coffee shops and Spanish tapas bars and an American restaurant within walking distance. The best dining is downtown and the trains run regularly from the local "Ciudad Lineal' station which is 8 minutes walk and takes 15 mins into the center, 10 minutes to the Madrid Bullring. the airport is 10 mins by taxi.
