This is a beautiful residence in 'La Florida' a quiet and luxurious section of the city approximately 8 miles west of downtown. This is a modern mansion property in the 19th. century style set in beautiful gardens, elegantly furnished with tasteful decor.
The hosts offer two guest bedrooms on the first floor, both of  which have garden views. There is no elevator. One room, which has twin beds, has an en-suite bathroom and the other, a double queen, has a private bathroom a few steps away. A continental breakfast is served and guests have use of the lounge area. Smoking is permitted only in the garden, where you may encounter on of the family's three dogs.
Your hosts are in the diplomatic corps and it is no surprise to find that their home is located just 15 minutes walk from the monarch's residence of 'Palacio La Zarzuela'. It is also just a short stroll to the 6th avenue shopping district in La Florida or just a little further to the Pozuelo district.
The best restaurants are downtown and the train takes 10 minutes from the local "El Barrel" station. They run every 15 mins and the last one back from town is at 23.30 (11.30p.m.)
